Guided tour of the cave in French and English
Guided tourPresentation
A visit in French and English by our enthusiastic guides
Listed as a National Heritage Site for its geological and archaeological interest, the Grotte Saint-Marcel - with its 64 km of network - is one of the largest caves in France.Your guide will give you a commentary in English (or Dutch, depending on the day and demand) for an hour-long tour of 400 m, helping you to understand the phenomena that led to the formation of the galleries, which are finely sculpted by water.
Magnified by 2 sound and light shows, two rooms will reveal their greatest treasures: the Cathedral room with its immense concretions and the sublime Cascade de Gours and its string of over a hundred pools of calcite water.
