All roads lead to Grotte Saint Marcel !
Grotte Saint Marcel is located right in the heart of the Ardèche Gorges between Vallon Pont d’Arc and Saint Martin d’Ardèche and is easily reached via the Scenic route (Route Touristique) through the Gorges.

Just a stone’s throw away, take in the stunning views from the Grand Belvédère (400 m) and Ranc Pointu (4 km). Then you can relax on the Pavillon Bleu listed beaches at Saint Martin d’Ardèche (Grain de Sel and Plage de Sauze beaches, 6 km away).

By road
Coming from the north via the A7 and A49 motorways, exit 18 (Montélimar south). From the South via the A7 or A9 motorways, exit 19 (Bollène). Follow signs to Bourg Saint Andéol, then Saint Remèze. Continue via Les Gorges de l’Ardèche, then follow the sign to Grotte Saint Marcel.
2¼ hours from Lyon, 1¾ hours from Marseille and Montpellier. 1¼ hours from Nîmes and Valence and just 1 hour from Avignon.

By rail
TGV high-speed train to Valence TGV station or Montélimar, then inter-city regional TER train to Pierrelatte. Then bus n° 20 to Saint Marcel d’Ardèche. Consult the French National Railroad (SNCF) website for departure times. The line 20 allows you to reach the village of Saint-Marcel d'Ardèche and not the cave which is in the town of Bidon.
 
By air
Marseille-Provence airport is 130 km away. Lyon Saint Exupéry airport is 200 km away. Avignon airport is 70 km away. See their respective websites.
